Steve Renfrew, a former regional director at Schroders Personal Wealth and Barclays, has been appointed managing director at Oculus Wealth Management.
In his new role, Renfrew will support efforts to attract advisers from private banks, wealth managers and financial advice firms in the high-net-worth market and contribute to Oculus’ ongoing growth.
Renfrew has decades of experience in wealth management, having previously served as regional director at Schroders Personal Wealth between May 2020 and January 2025. Before that, he was Northwest director at Barclays and worked at NatWest Group for almost 24 years.
Most recently, he was head of division and segment lead at Wesleyan Financial Services.
In 2025, Oculus was taken over by Benchmark Capital, a subsidiary of Schroders PLC. More recently, it was announced that Schroders has agreed to sell Benchmark to Swedish firm Söderberg & Partners.
