Ashtead Technology acquires Australian firm Seadraulics

Aberdeenshire-headquartered Ashtead Technology has acquired an Australian firm that specialises in tooling and support services for the offshore energy industry. 

Seadraulics is based in Perth and provides ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) tooling and support services to the offshore energy industry in Australia and the wider Asia market. 

Ashtead Technology is a subsea technology solutions provider to the global offshore energy sector. 

Supporting projects across the full lifecycle of offshore infrastructure, which ranges from site characterisation and construction to decommissioning, Seadraulics further enhances Ashtead Technology’s global geographical footprint, strengthening its differentiated technology and service offering for customers.

Allan Pirie, chief executive officer of Ashtead Technology said: “This acquisition provides a platform to accelerate our growth plan to create a full-service offering to better support our customers in the Australian market through innovation, specialist expertise and integrated solutions.
