Google Health 5.07 Update Delivers Easier Logging And Better Maps

Google Health has started rolling out version 5.07 to users on both Android and iOS devices. While the update might not look like a major overhaul, it packs some important changes that make tracking your daily activity much easier. The search titan has focused on fixing a few bugs and improving how it handles data in this update. This will help you to log everything faster from different devices, including the Google Pixel Watch and Fitbit Air.

Google Health version 5.07 update makes logging exercises manually a lot faster

As per the official changelog, if you enter your workout details manually, this update has some good news. Users can now add and adjust more metrics in this update when they log an exercise. Once you make those edits, these updates show up in your workout summaries faster than in the earlier version.

Notably, the swimmers also get a nice feature in this version. When they switch their exercise from a pool to an open swim, the application will let you track more details. Also, the new version of the app makes it easier to track running distance. If you do trail runs or incline runs, the app will now count them toward your total running distance.

Maps now load faster, and health connections get better for Android users

The Google Health 5.07 update is giving the maps experience a noticeable speed bump. Maps will now load faster than earlier and appear smoother as you move. The update has also fixed a bug that caused maps to disappear when you used your device to track a walking, biking, or running session.

After the update, the weight tracking is getting a visual fix. The weight graph now utilizes a recalibrated minimum and maximum range. This means the app will show your weight trends and other changes in a much better way, so you can take a quick look.

Last but not least, the update has arrived with a fix for Android users who lost their link to Health Connect. The update is rolling out globally right away.
