Sogo Mobility has struck a deal with Admiral Pioneer to launch a driver-based insurance product for its Sogo One salary sacrifice scheme.
The new offering prices insurance based on individual driver risk rather than averaging costs across an entire fleet.

Sogo explained that this approach can deliver more tailored premiums for many users, particularly those with a strong driving history.
The insurance product is fully integrated into the Sogo One proposition, maintaining a single monthly cost for drivers while removing the need for separate arrangements or additional administration.
Drivers can also carry over existing no-claims bonuses into the scheme and continue to build them over time, addressing a long-standing limitation of many fleet-style insurance models.
Chris Joyce, managing director of Sogo Mobility, said: “This partnership reflects the continued evolution of both insurance and employee benefits.
“Traditional fleet insurance has typically treated drivers as a collective, which doesn’t always reflect individual behaviour behind the wheel.
“By working with Admiral Pioneer, we’re able to offer an additional model that recognises driver risk on a more individual basis and broadens the options available to our customers.”
Sogo One is a fully managed, end-to-end salary sacrifice scheme that combines leasing, insurance, servicing, maintenance, and administration into a single offering.
It is designed to reduce the burden on fleet and HR teams, with Sogo handling everything from driver quotations through to payroll reporting and vehicle delivery.
The scheme also includes early-termination protection, damage cover, and home-charging support, while offering both electric and plug-in hybrid models to suit different driver needs.
The partnership comes as salary sacrifice continues to expand rapidly, driven by favourable benefit-in-kind (BIK) tax rates for low-emission vehicles and increasing employer demand for sustainable benefits.
Tom Brookbanks, head of leasing at Sogo, added: “This collaboration adds further flexibility to the Sogo One proposition. Insurance is a key consideration for salary sacrifice schemes, particularly as more drivers move into electric vehicles.
“Having a range of approaches allows us to better meet different customer needs while maintaining the simplicity of a fully managed solution.”
By incorporating a driver-led insurance model as part of its broader offering, Sogo aims to support continued adoption of salary sacrifice schemes and reinforce the financial case for switching to electric vehicles.
