Las Vegas (KSNV) — State leaders must first pass a film tax credit package for Warner Bros to bring the project to here the Harry Reid Research and Technology Park.
Warner Bros says the Nevada studios would be renamed Warner Bros. Studios Nevada would feature full-service film and television studios.
The company says it will commit over eight billion dollarsto long-term production spending if the legislature passes the tax credit package.
Chief operating officer for Warner Bros. Studios Simon Robinson in a statement says:
You may remember earlier this year, Clark County commissioners approved zoning plans for a new film production studio proposed in the Summerlin area.
Construction on this project is contingent on the tax incentive passing the state legislature.
State lawmakers have previously said they plan to revive the Nevada studio infrastructure, jobs, and Workforce Training Act in next year’s legislative session.
