The Rothschild Foundation Grassroots Grants Fund, launched by Heart of Bucks Community Foundation in partnership with the Rothschild Foundation, is open to small organisations in Bucks delivering services that respond directly to community needs.
Ellie Stout, director of grants at the Rothschild Foundation, said: “We are delighted to partner with Heart of Bucks to deliver this new grassroots grants fund.
“Local organisations are often best placed to understand and respond to the challenges faced by their communities.
“This fund is about empowering those groups to deliver meaningful, lasting change where it is needed most.”
Priority will be given to groups focused on homelessness, financial hardship, physical or learning disabilities, and mental health and wellbeing.
The fund aims to be particularly accessible to smaller and emerging organisations.
Henry Allmand, chief executive at Heart of Bucks, said: “We see every day the incredible difference that small, community-led organisations make across Buckinghamshire.
“However, many of these groups struggle to access funding at a scale that matches their ambition and impact.
“This fund is designed to be accessible, flexible and responsive, ensuring that even the smallest organisations have the opportunity to thrive and support those most in need.”
“By working in partnership with the Rothschild Foundation, we are able to reach deeper into our communities and back the grassroots initiatives that are often the lifeline for vulnerable residents.”
