Ofcom is inviting eligible community radio stations to apply for the Community Radio Fund for 2026/27.
The Community Radio Fund is designed to help Ofcom-licensed community radio stations remain sustainable and grow.
For the 2026/27 round, changes mean stations can now submit multi-year bids and apply for dedicated equipment funding, in addition to the existing sustainability stream.
The total available is £904,644, which includes £900,000 from Government and £4,644 from underspend and returned funds.
Sustainability grants are open to Ofcom-licensed community radio stations in the UK broadcasting on AM, FM, or with a Community Digital Sound Programme licence.
Equipment grants are only for analogue stations that have been on air for at least ten years. Applications close at 5pm on Wednesday 14th October 2026. The Community Radio Fund Panel is expected to review applications in early January 2027.
