Aberdeen Investments has appointed Marianne Zangerl as global head of multi asset and alternative investment solutions, succeeding Darren Wolf, who is leaving to pursue new opportunities after fourteen years with the business.
Zangerl, who is London based, will report into Peter Branner, chief investment officer. Zangerl has held senior roles at Aberdeen Investments for over ten years, most recently as deputy global head of fixed income, where she has focussed on illiquid fixed income, sustainability and business development.
Branner said: “Marianne’s career at Aberdeen shows how exceptional, home‑grown talent can thrive. A proven leader and money manager, she brings deep relevant experience to the multi asset and alternatives team, alongside a strong commercial focus and sustainable finance expertise.
“I would also like to thank Darren for his contribution to the multi asset and alternatives team over the past decade, and more recently, his stewardship of the team. Darren’s leadership has established greater accountability across teams, reflected in the continued strong performance of our £40bn Multi-Asset & Alternatives franchise.”
In addition, Mark Meiklejon is joining Aberdeen Investments from Aviva, as Senior Investment Director, Private Market Solutions, based in Edinburgh. He will work across a range of private market solutions, including the Global Private Markets Fund in this newly created role.
