TAG Heuer forges a new chapter of digital watchmaking with Connected Calibre E5

Swiss luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer has managed to combine expertise and proprietary digital engineering while still keeping to a philosophy that values the human experience.

Say hello to the new TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5, the fifth generation of its pioneering luxury smartwatch collection, and the most refined expression of the brand’s avant-garde philosophy.

In the last decade, TAG Heuer has given its own interpretation of what a connected watch should be, with equal emphasis on craftsmanship, design and emotion.

The Calibre E5 is a manifestation of this vision, a connected timepiece with a digital heart and a mechanical soul, helping its wearer to move confidently in physical artistry with advanced digital performance cohesively.

This model offers a more versatile, personal experience while honouring TAG Heuer’s watchmaking heritage.

Available in signature 45mm as well as a new 40mm case, the watch expands its appeal without compromising on the design language.

Careful attention to detail are apparent in the faceted lugs creating sharper, more dynamic lines, while the reworked pushers deliver a smoother silhouette and a more satisfying tactile experience.

The integration of the new interchangeable strap system offers a seamless transition between case and strap, aligning with the codes of fine watchmaking.

The 45mm models come in stainless steel with ceramic bezels or black DLC-coated titanium with a full sandblasted finish for a more technical aesthetic.

Paired with deployant clasps for balance and security on the wrist, the sport strap in the accessory collection features a pin buckle.

The 40mm range has polished stainless steel with domed sapphire crystals, including refined grey-and-silver hour markers printed on the underside of the crystal for clarity and subtlety.

These models use proportionally scaled pin buckles on rubber straps, while leather options are fitted with folding clasps to maintain the integrity of the overall design.

A warmer rose golden PVD variation within the 40mm collection features a beige rubber strap and pin buckle that still gives a distinctive touch of understated luxury.

An expanded selection of watch faces for the Calibre C5 developed for the TAG Heuer Connected collection reflect the heritage of iconic TAG Heuer Carrera, TAG Heuer Aquaracer and TAG Heuer Formula 1 lines.

At the core of the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5 is the TAG Heuer OS, a proprietary user experience and interface developed entirely inhouse to deliver a digital experience that aligns with the values of precision and craftsmanship.

The new system offers a cleaner interface, improved legibility and faster, more intuitive navigation.

The TAG Heuer OS supports voice calls and voice assistant access through an integrated speaker and microphone, featuring custom TAG Heuer haptics and sounds; the audio system is calibrated to deliver clarity and discretion.

The interface offers improved legibility, cleaner visual organisation and customisable widgets, including those for activity tracking, heart rate monitoring and weather updates.

Battery performance has been extended to three days of battery life for the 45mm, and two days for the 40mm, with a full day’s use achievable after just 30 to 40 minutes of charging.

Expect better connectivity with reduced pairing times compared with previous generations, and full MFi (Made for iPhone) certification ensuring compatibility with iPhones.

TAG Heuer continues its tradition of building precision instruments that serve as partners in daily life.

A Wellness Activity app within the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5 offers a clear and engaging way to monitor daily movement, capturing calories burned, steps taken and active time with precision.

The dedicated Heart Rate app complements this by delivering continuous, live readings with detailed insights into minimum and maximum heart rates throughout the day.

For those who experience winter season, the sleep functionality is integrated as a central part of the wellness ecosystem, enabling analysis of sleep phases, blood-oxyden saturation, breathing rate and heart-rate variability.

The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5 serves to reinforce TAG Heuer’s vision of supporting wearers in surpassing their own limits physically, emotionally and mentally, furthering its commitment to supporting performance in specific disciplines such as running and golf.

For runners, the redesigned Sports app improves readability and real-time access to essential data as the watch introduces running plans, offering structured preparation for every level of experience.

Dual-band GNSS technology ensures highly accurate GPS tracking even in challenging environments, supporting long training sessions with long battery life that can go up to 17 hours.

Golf is a central pillar of the TAG Heuer Connected experience via the Calibre E5 Golf Edition, and this is seen in the specially engraved bezel marked with hole numbers one through 18 aside from the bi-material strap showing a textured surface inspired by golf ball dimples.

The course map display has been redesigned to show full hole layouts with auto-zoom that adjusts dynamically as the player advances, paired with enhanced auto-scoring functionality to deliver essential data for each round without requiring interaction with any other device.

Over 40,000 course maps are available for download worldwide, while improved shot detection algorithms and GPS convergence is three times faster than the previous generation.
