PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – Residents in one Eastern Carolina county can pay property taxes with an app ahead of the January 6 deadline.
Pitt County has announced a partnership with its tax administration and PayIt to launch the myPittCounty app. The app was designed to simplify property tax payments as tax season begins.
According to the county, the app will allow residents to pay their property taxes without visiting the county’s office or mailing a check. The app will make the process flexible by allowing scheduled payments, viewing payment history, and secure payment information storage.
“We’re pleased to provide our residents a convenient and secure option for managing their property taxes,” said Russell Hill, Pitt County tax administrator. “With the myPittCounty app, we’re making it easier for residents to stay on top of their payments during the busyness of tax season, allowing them to avoid the rush as the January deadline approaches.”
myPittCounty is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Property taxes are due January 6, 2025.
