MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Fayette County leaders gave the green light for Buc-ees to continue construction.
Developers received approval for a 20-year tax increment financing, according to Memphis Business Journal.
“The Fayette County Industrial Development Board passed a resolution to issue a note for a TIF for Buc-ee’s Family Travel Center in Gallaway at Exit 28,” said Rhea Taylor, Fayette County Mayor.
This helps offset the cost of building the infrastructure, which reads water and sewer, to $17 million.
West Tennesseans will see the largest convenience store in the country on I-40 in about two years.
There are already two Buc-ees in East Tennessee.
