Zeebari Family LP has sold 153 Defense Hwy., a 2,332-square-foot, free-standing building in Annapolis for $2.5 million to Sardi’s Peruvian Chicken to build its 18th restaurant location.
The restaurant is expected to open in 2025.
Bryan Herr, vice president, MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services LLC, represented the buyer and Hyatt Commercial Real Estate Services represented the seller in this transaction.
Headquartered in Clinton and founded in 2008, Sardi’s Peruvian Chicken operates locations throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia. The restaurant chain is noted for its Peruvian recipes, together with a variety of Latin and South American specialties.
The new site represents the chain’s second in Anne Arundel County, joining a location in Glen Burnie. Additional locations include restaurants in Frederick and Hagerstown.
Situated adjacent to Gateway Village and shadow-anchored by The Home Depot, 153 Defense Highway features a drive-through window, frontage along Defense Highway (MD Route 450) and a free surface parking lot suitable for nearly 40 vehicles. Positioned at a signalized intersection, nearly 32,000 vehicles pass the site on a daily basis.
