Coalition, an active insurance provider focused on preventing digital risks before they occur, has appointed Fiona McMartin as Associate Underwriter in its London office.
McMartin launched her insurance career in 2022 through RSA’s graduate programme, where she initially served as a team leader in client services.
She later transitioned to RSA’s cyber specialty lines team, gaining deep insights into cyber coverage and advancing to the role of Assistant Specialist Underwriter for cyber.
Stephen Wares, Coalition’s UK Head of Underwriting, commented: “Fiona is a valuable addition to our underwriting team. Her focus on supporting specialty and retail brokers with clients in the SME space will be invaluable as we grow and develop into our third year of operating in the UK.”
Coalition entered the UK cyber insurance market in 2022 and has been steadily expanding its local team and operations in the region ever since.
McMartin added: “Coalition has a very strong cyber product and a radically different perspective on the market and its challenges. As a young professional, that attracted me because I can see it’s a great business in which to learn. There’s also so much expertise, both technical and insurance-related, ingrained within the organisation.”
