WATERLOO, Iowa (KCRG) – The Waterloo Public Library recently received an anonymous donation to create the Waterloo Public Library Endowment Fund. The fund runs through the Waterloo Community Foundation.
Library Director David Eckert said whether it’s for checking out books, doing research or even for entertainment, libraries are a place for everyone.
He said this donation will continue to allow them to make the library a safe and inviting environment for the Waterloo community.
“We’re always concerned to make sure we have enough material that and we are up to date with all the material that we have. But then we can also use it maybe to help out with some of our programming and things like that because we always want to provide good programming for the whole community,” said Eckert.
Eckert said they hope this donation sparks others to contribute to the fund as well to help continue the library’s work for years to come.
