enfinium has announced the launch of its 2026 Parc Adfer Community Benefit Fund, welcoming applications from projects and organisations to support community initiatives near to its facility in Deeside.
In 2025, enfinium’s Parc Adfer Community Benefit Fund allocated more than a combined £30,000 to supporting initiatives delivering environmental benefits, improving standards of health, safety and wellbeing, or strengthening the communities close to enfinium’s North Wales operations.
enfinium has launched its 2026 Parc Adfer Community Benefit Fund.
Among the initiatives supported were Picker Pals, an environmental education programme which received £6,600 from enfinium to support its work with children aged six to nine to promote responsible waste disposal through hands-on learning. The funding enabled 10 schools in Flintshire to benefit from the programme.
Other initiatives included the Holywell Heritage Trail, which received more than £2,000 to help support the restoration of a key section of the trail and improve its marketing through an updated brochure, helping boost local pride and to attract visitors to the town.
Philip Curds, head of ESG and sustainability at enfinium, said: “We are immensely proud of the positive change delivered through enfinium’s Parc Adfer Community Benefit Fund. In 2025, more than £30,000 was invested in North Wales communities, supporting grassroots projects that improved environmental outcomes and enhanced health, safety and wellbeing. We look forward to continuing this support in 2026, working alongside organisations in the communities closest to our Parc Adfer facility to help them thrive.”
Patrick Jackson, founder of Picker Pals, said: “Supporting the next generation in protecting the environment and giving them the confidence to do so is of paramount importance. With thanks to enfinium’s funding, 10 schools in North Wales will now be equipped with a programme that helps to achieve this.”
The Parc Adfer Community Benefit Fund is available to community groups and organisations within a 10-miles radius of enfinium’s Parc Adfer facility in Deeside, with £34,792 in funding available.
Organisations based outside of the catchment area are also eligible to apply for grants. Applications are welcomed from registered charities, schools, places of learning, not-for-profit companies, community organisations and groups, including those supported by public funding.
All applications must demonstrate that the project or event will either deliver environmental benefits (such as the promotion of clean energy, waste reduction and/or recycling improvements), improve standards of health, safety and wellbeing, or enhance the wider community. This could mean promoting skills and educational development, environmental improvements or activity that helps boost community cohesion.
