SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Utah has been named the fifth most energy-efficient state in the country, according to a recent ranking by WalletHub.
This recognition places Utah among states traditionally known for prioritizing climate change, such as Washington, Vermont, and California.
WalletHub’s analysis highlighted Utah’s strong performance in energy efficiency for homes and vehicles.
However, the state ranked 24th in public transportation efficiency, suggesting room for improvement in the availability of buses and trains.
