TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Godby Cougars are coming into this season with a lot of new energy.
This team feels ready to start competing. They are mentally locked in and their biggest focus right now is toughness.
After a 3-6 season last year, the Cougars are ready to attack the new year.
Head coach Johnathan Holston said, “It’s just a lot of high energy. The kids bought in a while back so they’ve been working hard the whole summer so now it’s just the fact that we’re here two weeks away from the first game, it’s what we’re waiting on so. We can’t hold it back right now. I think they trust the work they put in. So now they’re excited to see what that looks like when they play against somebody.”
Godby opens the season on August 16th against Orlando Christian Prep.
