Charitable organisations in West Dunbartonshire can apply for a share of a £63,000 community fund launched by Barratt and David Wilson Homes, aimed at supporting healthy, active lifestyles across Scotland.
The 2026 Community Fund will offer £1500 grants to organisations that support wellbeing and deliver positive, long-term impact in the areas where the housebuilders are developing new homes.
“With Scotland preparing to host the 2026 Commonwealth Games and the national team heading to the FIFA World Cup, this fund is about supporting organisations that inspire healthier, more active lifestyles and make sport and physical activity accessible to everyone.
“Our 2026 Community Fund will help support the fantastic work already taking place across the country, enabling local groups to deliver projects that make a real difference to people’s lives.”
The fund is open exclusively to registered charities operating in areas where Barratt and David Wilson Homes are active, including north, east and west Scotland.
Eligible projects may include sport and physical activity programmes, inclusive fitness schemes, youth coaching, upgrades to recreational spaces, walking and cycling routes, and other health and wellbeing initiatives.
The initiative builds on the housebuilders’ ongoing commitment to social responsibility and supporting the communities where they operate.
In Dunbartonshire, Barratt and David Wilson Homes are currently developing new communities, including Carrick Meadows in Duntocher, Boclair Mews in East Dunbartonshire and Auchinleck Village in Robroyston.
The Community Fund is financed through the Barratt Redrow Foundation, which aims to help communities thrive across the UK.
The fund’s launch coincides with a landmark year of sport in Scotland.
