Hampshire Medical Fund Christmas concert at cathedral

The Hampshire Medical Fund’s annual Celebration of Christmas concert returns on Friday, December 12, raising funds for medical equipment across Hampshire hospitals.

Lucy Liddell, charity director of the Hampshire Medical Fund, said: “This concert is a highlight of our calendar.

“It’s a chance for the community to come together in one of the most beautiful buildings in the country, celebrate the season, and support our mission to buy equipment that genuinely changes lives.”

The concert will feature traditional carols and seasonal favourites, performed by the Winchester Chamber Choir and a host of talented musicians.

Special guest readers will include Sol Campbell and Fiona Barratt-Campbell.

The concert is open to the public and will begin at 7.30pm.

Proceeds from the evening will support the Hampshire Medical Fund’s work in purchasing cutting-edge medical equipment for Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover NHS hospitals.

Over the past 10 years, the charity has funded more than 165 pieces of equipment, totalling more than £5m, helping clinicians diagnose and treat patients more quickly, more accurately and more safely.

The equipment funded by the charity falls outside standard NHS budgets but makes a “transformative” difference to patient care.

The concert is sponsored by JM Finn, and every ticket sold will contribute directly to the charity’s ongoing efforts.

Tickets start from £20.
