Transpennine Route Upgrade Community Fund Applications to Open This October

A second round of the Transpennine Route Upgrade Community Fund has been launched, which will see £250,000 go towards supporting community groups, charities and schools.

Last year’s scheme was hugely successful, and this year, those within 5 miles of the Transpennine route can apply for grants of £1,000, £5,000, £10,000 or £20,000.

Those within 5 miles of the Shipley Traincare Centre are also invited to apply.

Applications for the fund will open on the 6th of October and will close on the 27th of October.

The fund is being managed by Neighbourly, and applicants will be required to create an account before applying.

Enquiries about the fund should be directed to Neighbourly, and applicants should be aware that applications can close early if a high number of applications are submitted.

“We’re delighted to launch the second round of our Community Fund, which represents our ongoing commitment to supporting the communities we work alongside. This funding provides a fantastic opportunity for local organisations to make a lasting impact on the people they serve.”

Alex Peters, Interim Head of Sustainability and Social Value for TR
