JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) – SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Janesville is holding a special supply drive to help the victims of the recent devastating hurricanes.
SMM Health is hoping to completely fill a camper trailer with donated items to help survivors that will be driven down to Orlando, Florida on Saturday, October 19.
Items requested include:
- Emergency/non-perishable food items (easy to open “pop tops” suggested)
- Hygiene items (soaps, shampoo, conditioner, combs, feminine products, etc.)
- Baby supplies (diapers, wipes, formula, creams, etc.)
- Pet supplies (wet and dry cat and dog food)
- Disposable paper products (plates, cups, napkins, utensils)
- Used but fully functional cell phone charging cords and portable battery packs
Family Birth Suites RN, Devin Rivera, and he husband own a large RV that she used when she worked as a travel nurse. That RV has been sitting in storage and is now going to have a new purpose.
FEMA will be renting the RV for about a year to house first responders helping with hurricane relief.
Donation bins are located at the SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Janesville/SSM Health Dean Medical Group main entrance, the employee entrances, and on Level G by the conference rooms.
