Marsden started his career in London with Deloitte in Chartered accountancy, then moved into investment banking with Barclays Capital.
He then joined Aviva (formerly known as Norwich Union) and worked across several finance roles: business partnering, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and then into strategy.
Eventually, Marsden became managing director of Aviva’s retirement business and latterly led the retail wealth business on platforms, pensions, and direct-to-consumer for five years.
After that, he became CEO of Succession and has been at the helm for about 18 months.
