Perspective adds £825m with six more acquisitions

Perspective Financial Group has acquired six more financial planning firms in the first quarter of 2026, adding £825m in assets under management as it continues its expansion strategy.

The firms joining the group are: Freedom Advice; Clearwater Wealth Management; Cockburn Lucas Independent Financial Consulting; Crown Wealth Management; Devonshire Wealth Management; and Mackrill Financial Management.

The deals bring 12 financial planners into the business and expands Perspective’s footprint with new offices in Nottingham, Shrewsbury, central London and Ripponden.

The latest acquisitions form part of the firm’s ongoing strategy to grow its national presence while maintaining a client-focused approach to advice.

Chief executive Ian Wilkinson said the group had made a strong start to the year and signalled further deals in the near term.

“We are delighted to welcome the talented advisers, support teams and valued clients from these highly regarded firms,” he said. “We are also very pleased to add several new strategic locations, which will further enable our future growth plans.”

Wilkinson added that Perspective’s in-house M&A team, now around 50 people, is designed to support firms through the transition process and ensure continuity for clients and staff.

“We have started 2026 well from an acquisition standpoint, and we look forward to announcing further completed acquisitions in the next month or so,” he said.

Perspective plans to double in size over next two years

For the firms involved, succession planning and cultural alignment were key drivers behind the transactions.

Mike Horseman, director of Cockburn Lucas Independent Financial Consulting, said: “After a combined 83 years in financial services, it’s fair to say we don’t get impressed easily. All that changed during the process of finding a suitable partner.

“We are delighted to have completed our transaction with Perspective and can honestly say the experience was positive from the outset, with a well-resourced team and aligned interests and values.”

Similarly, Crown Wealth Management director Brian Benson said the move would support long-term growth while maintaining service standards.

“This step strengthens our long-term growth and ensures we can continue delivering the high standard of service our clients rely on,” he said. “Perspective is a partner we have full confidence in, committed to protecting our clients’ interests.”

Clearwater Wealth Management owner Graham Ponting added that continuity for clients was central to the decision.

“Given the long-standing relationships I have with my clients, it was essential to find a partner who would look after them with genuine care and continuity,” he added.
