Panasonic Connect is to supply projectors and display technology for a new immersive experience that explores the history of the White House in Washington, DC.
Opening this September, “The People’s House: A White House Experience” will offer an immersive look into America’s history based on a collaboration with the White House Historical Association.
The 33,000-square-foot facility, located at 1700 Pennsylvania Avenue, will give visitors the opportunity to explore a large-scale White House model, the State Floor in 360° immersive projection, a full-scale replica of the Oval Office, and recreations of important White House moments over time.
The White House Historical Association is a private, nonprofit, educational organisation founded by First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy in 1961 to help the White House collect and exhibit the very best artifacts of American history and culture.
The 3,000 sq metre facility housing the new experience is slated to open this autumn and is located at 1700 Pennsylvania Avenue, a block away from the White House.
Panasonic will work alongside Design and Production, Inc. (D&P), the integrator for the project, to ensure that the history remains the focal point to fully engage visitors.
