PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Pickens County Council announced a special funding opportunity for non-profit organizations that market the county as a whole.
The funds are available through the 30% fund of Accommodations Tax collected on behalf of Pickens County from overnight stays.
Officials said to be eligible for funding, an organization must be organized as a non-profit and demonstrate to the county that it has an existing, ongoing tourism promotion program.
Project proposals must align with the 2020 Pickens County Branding and Marketing Plan and focus on tourism-related activities that are mutually beneficial to the applicant and Pickens County.
The application for this opportunity will open on Wednesday, Oct. 23 and close on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
