Map Shows Every Tax Holiday in US This Summer

Numerous states will be holding tax holidays this summer, meaning shoppers can save on the cost of states’ sales taxes during certain periods.

Tax holidays take place in a plethora of states every year, lowering prices on certain items for a set period. Some tax holidays only last a weekend, but others, like in Florida this year, can last up to a month.

They usually coincide with certain events taking place, such as prior to hurricane season or before kids return to school at the end of the summer holiday. Some take place every year, but state lawmakers can bring in additional tax breaks at any time of the year.
