Warren County Sheriff’s Office to send out property taxes

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is sending out your property taxes soon.

The taxes will be sent out next Monday, Oct. 28. Warren County residents will receive them in the mail, and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office is offering an incentive if you pay early.

Throughout the month of November, the Warren County Sheriffs Office will take off 2% of what your owe in property taxes. The penalties will start up in January, so it is important to pay up sooner rather than later.

“They will not be able to start paying those until Nov. 1. That’s through the state. They are set time period to be able to pay those, and that is November 1st. So what we can strongly recommend to people is that they need to be looking for that tax bill by the end of next week. If they have not received that tax bill by the end of next week, they need to contact our office” said sheriff Brett Hightower.

There are different ways you can pay your taxes. You can pay online, drop them off in the safe box on College Street or in person.

Property taxes bring in a lot of money for the county. For the year 2024, Warren County brought in just under $120 million, with 54% of that going to the schools. If you have any questions about your property taxes, you can call the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
