The Cabool Police Department handled calls and incidents recently, including a domestic complaint.
The department reported 17 traffic stops resulting in 16 summons and two warnings issued. Two arrests for non-traffic offenses were made.
On Tuesday, Aug. 20, officers responded to a domestic and property damage complaint at an Autumn Drive residence. During the investigation, officers discovered a broken window. A probable cause statement was sent to the Texas County prosecutor.
On Wednesday, Aug. 21, officers responded to a Cabool business for a suspected counterfeit $100 bill. The suspect, Tito Garza of Springfield, was identified and arrested. A probable cause statement was sent to the Texas County prosecutor. Garza was charged with forgery. He is currently held in the Texas County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
In total, police handled one alarm, six animal complaints, one assault, one burglary, one domestic violence call, two stealing/theft incidents, one suspicious activity incident, assisted other agencies 11 times and assisted the public eight times.
The fire department was dispatched 13 times.
