On Thursday, police were called to an address in Cliffe Street in the town, after a tip-off from the local community, informing them of a suspected a cannabis farm at the location.
A police spokesperson said: “Entry was forced and 93 mature cannabis plants were seized from the address, estimated to be worth around £46,000.
“Enquiries are ongoing to locate persons involved with the cultivation. We would like to thank concerned members of the public for promptly informing us to this information in order for us to get excellent results like these.”
