Hamilton Global Specialty, an underwriting platform of Hamilton Insurance Group, has announced the appointment of Todd LaBandt as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Environmental Insurance at Hamilton Americas, its US managing agency.
In his new role, LaBandt will report directly to Pepe Marquez, President of Hamilton Americas.
Adrian Daws, CEO of Hamilton Global Specialty, expressed enthusiasm for LaBandt’s appointment, stating, “I’m delighted to welcome Todd to our team. His comprehensive experience with risk assessment and underwriting a full range of environmental insurance products will be distinct advantages as we continue to develop our US environmental product offering.”
LaBandt brings over two decades of environmental experience to his new role. He joins Hamilton from Westchester, a Chubb company, where he worked for 13 years, most recently serving as Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer for the past eight years.
Prior to that, he served as Senior Project Manager at RESIGHT Holdings for eight years, as well as Project Manager at Cherokee Investment Partners and Research Assistant at the USDA Forest Service.
