Worcester charity ball raises £8k for childhood cancer fund

The spectacular event took place on Saturday, November 8, in aid of the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity’s specialist fund, the Children of Worcestershire and Herefordshire Cancer Fund which supports children and families affected by cancer across the two counties.

The evening was filled with generosity, laughter, and a sense of community with every penny raised helping to make a meaningful difference to young patients and their families during cancer treatment.

The ball was sponsored by Currie & Brown, who played a key role in its success.

Dawn Forbes, children’s cancer specialist nurse, said: “We are so grateful for the incredible support shown at the charity ball and every pound raised helps us provide comfort and care to children and families during one of the toughest times of their lives.”

Laura Gregory, community and events fundraising officer for Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity, added: “We are absolutely thrilled by the incredible support the charity ball received.

“Raising over £8,000 is such a fantastic achievement and will make a real difference to children and families affected by cancer across Worcestershire and Herefordshire.

“We’re so grateful to everyone who attended, donated, and helped make the evening such a success – and a special thank you to Currie & Brown for their generous sponsorship.”
