COLUMBUS, Ind. – Heritage Fund of Bartholomew County invites residents to downtown Columbus to “Love Where You Live” (LWYL) on Saturday, October 5, starting at 2 p.m.
The party will feature free activities to celebrate the community foundation’s commitment to building a better community and an opportunity for the public to learn about the impact of its work and how your support can make a difference.
Special events include a concert on the Library Plaza featuring Miss Americanas, a Taylor Swift Tribute Band at 4 p.m., and the Rock The Block dance party at 6:30 p.m. under InterOculus at Washington and Fourth Streets.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase, including a signature LWYL brew from Hog Molly. Limited edition LWYL merchandise featuring this year’s design by local artist Annie Shields can be had for a donation.
The inaugural LWYL event is part of the sixth annual LWYL campaign supporting the Heritage Fund’s Community Fund. Donations received facilitate targeted grantmaking for projects in Heritage Fund’s Impact Areas of Arts, Culture, and Architecture; Youth Development; and Downtown Vitality. Heritage Fund annually awards over $800,000 in grants from the Community Fund to local nonprofits.
The Love Where You Live schedule for October 5 also includes:
- Youth Activities
- Food Trucks
- Community Table and auction of picnic tables with local artwork
- Artist Demonstrations
- Live Mural Creation of LWYL design by Annie Shields
Support of LWYL builds the Community Fund and, in turn, enables Heritage Fund to build a better Bartholomew County. For more information or to make a gift to LWYL, visit heritagefundbc.org.
