The ELY Memorial Fund charity ball, held on November 28, 2025, at Brinsop Court Estate, raised £8,001.08.
This is enough to fund funeral support for two Herefordshire families who lose a young person aged 17–25 in a road traffic accident.
Ange Tyler, founder and charity manager, said: “Raising nearly £8,000 means two families in Herefordshire will receive essential financial support during the most devastating time of their lives.
“The generosity shown at the Ball will also help us continue our young driver safety programmes, providing education that has never been more needed.”
More than 150 supporters, businesses, and community partners attended the event, which included fundraising, reflection, and a reading of the poem Tomorrow, written by Craig Smith of Minerva Elite Performance.

The ball was held amid growing concerns about young driver fatalities.
In 2024, West Mercia recorded eight deaths involving young people, three of which occurred in Herefordshire.
All three families received support from the ELY Memorial Fund.
The charity offers financial support through a ‘Hugs Pack,’ contributing up to £4,000 towards funeral costs, alongside ongoing guidance and resources for bereaved families.
