ZANESVILLE, OH- The Down Bikers Fund Incorporated hosted their 33rd annual Poker Run today, drawing in motorcyclists from around the area.
The Down Bikers Fund Inc. is a group of volunteers who support local bikers and their families during times of need. Their motto is Bikers Helping Bikers. All proceeds from today’s event will go directly to this cause.
“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, usually around 800 to 1,000 people will show up and everyone just pitches in, and we have a really good time to try to raise money for that fund,” said Down Bikers Fund Inc. President, Jack Morgan.
The Poker Run also offered two participants the chance to win a 1,000-dollar prize through a card drawing.
“Oh, it’s great, I’m like the second generation of this, my parents were original Down Bikers and now my son, he’s the third generation, and we’re just trying to keep it going hopefully for another 33 years,” said Morgan.
The Poker Run will return next year for their 34th year. For more information about the Down Bikers Fund Inc. you can visit their Facebook page.
