Southeastern has opened a new round of applications for its Customer and Communities Improvement Fund (CCIF).
The fund supports local communities and, since 2024, has awarded over £500,000 to 24 projects.
They have supported numerous initiatives; information on the last round of successful applications is available here.
The combined South Eastern Railway (Southeastern and Network Rail Kent Route) is inviting charities, community groups and organisations to put forward applications which will be delivered between April 2026 and March 2027.
Grants can be between £1,000 and £50,000, with applications focusing on promoting employment and skills, making communities safer, more inclusive and diverse and helping the area to be more sustainable.
Applications are open and can be made online, running until 31st December at 23:59.
“I’m delighted to announce we are opening a new application round of our Customer and Communities Improvement Fund after a phenomenal response last time. We look forward to receiving more exciting and innovative proposals that will help transform lives in the communities we serve.
“Southeastern was the first train operator in the UK to launch a Social Mobility Action Plan, and we hope to be able to support more community-driven efforts which help reduce economic and social inequality within the communities we serve.”
Damian Testa, Head of Public Affairs at Southeastern
