Over €187,000 in government funding has been announced today for eight Mayo projects under the 2025 Integration Fund.
Minister of State, Alan Dillon says the fund supports community organisations in promoting the integration of migrants and strengthening social cohesion. It brings together the former International Protection Integration Fund and the Communities Integration Fund.
The Mayo based initiatives that will benefit from this year’s funding of are:
- Mayo Rape Crisis Centre – Outreach Counselling for those affected by Sexual Violence in Rural IPAS Centres, County Mayo (€26,200)
- South West Mayo Development Company – Pathways to Resilience (€99,988)
- Tacú Ballinrobe Family Resource Centre CLG – Bridges Through Language (€25,000)
- Achill Tourism – Cooking Up a Storm (€10,000)
- Ballina Arts Centre CLG – Ballina IPA Women’s Project (€9,500)
- Ballina Fringe Festival – Global Kitchen (€2,000);
- Ballyhaunis Family Resource Centre – Ballyhaunis FRC Wider Horizons Project (€6,650)
- Community Radio Castlebar – My Voice My Story (€7,900).
The projects will deliver supports ranging from counselling services for vulnerable individuals, resilience-building programmes, and language initiatives to strengthen community connections Minister Dillon says it’s only with cooperation from our community that we can improve integration and make Ireland a better country to live in for everyone
