At the MACo Summer Conference, attendees explored major topics and asked leading policymakers questions about Maryland’s renewable energy future.
Maryland is a small state with big goals. One of our biggest aspirations is fully transitioning toward a total renewable energy future. As the drivers of Maryland’s ambitions, counties are often at the forefront of both debate and implementation. MACo’s A Brighter Tomorrow – The Future of Maryland Energy Policy panel invited the preeminent energy leaders in Annapolis to discuss their views on the next few decades ahead.
Description: During the past several legislative sessions, Maryland’s General Assembly showed a high level of interest in passing landmark renewable energy legislation. The Brighter Tomorrow Act of 2024 was the latest and largest in a series of ambitious energy bills. This session explores recent legislation, policy implementation, and looks at what to expect going forward.
