JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – NEA Baptist Health System announced Monday it had received a $50,000 donation from NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, for its mobile health unit.
Ty Jones, director of marketing for NEA Baptist, said the donation would help fund the unit’s operation as it travels around Northeast Arkansas, providing healthcare, including screenings, immunizations, and mammography, to uninsured and underinsured patients.
“We are extremely grateful to NextEra Energy Resources for their generous support of the Mobile Health Unit,” said Robbie Johnson, chief development officer for Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation. “Their donation is truly an investment in the health of Arkansans, many of whom have limited or no access to care.”

The Mobile Health Unit will be at the Manila Community Center on Friday, Aug. 9,, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for free community health screenings.
