John Lumley, based in Cirencester, has been managing director of Lumley Insurance for 25 years.
The family-led business has seen steady growth across the Cotswolds and beyond, focusing on specialist advice and personal service.
Mr Lumley said: “Reaching 25 years as Managing Director has made me incredibly proud of what we’ve built here in Cirencester.
“We’ve grown steadily in the Cotswolds and elsewhere by staying true to what matters: giving our clients clear, expert advice and making sure they are properly protected when they need to make a claim.”
Lumley Insurance serves private clients with cover for high-value homes and possessions, including many period properties.
The company has always been based in Cirencester, with a strong client base in the town and surrounding areas.
Since it was established, the business has achieved an average of 10 per cent growth year-on-year.
Lumley Insurance continues to invest in its systems and services and is strengthening relationships with professional partners, such as estate agents and solicitors, to help more homeowners access specialist cover.
Mr Lumley said: “As we grow, we want to keep building a business that services Cirencester and the wider Cotswolds – creating skilled jobs, investing in our people and offering a specialist service that’s genuinely personal.”
As part of its next phase of growth, the brokerage has refreshed its brand identity, modernising its presentation while staying true to its heritage.
Samantha Davies, chief operating officer, said: “We’ve modernised the business over the years, but our approach hasn’t changed – it’s about trust, long-term relationships and doing the right thing for our clients.
“We’re excited for what the next chapter brings.”
Lumley Insurance will also be hosting at the Badminton Horse Trials once again this year, returning to a Lakeside Pavilion after its involvement at the event last year.
The company employs 35 staff, most of whom are based at its Cirencester headquarters, with an additional office in London.
