ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – The area non-profit, Life Decisions, receives a special donation during its annual 815 Fun Fair at Dahlquist Park.
On Saturday, Life Decisions received a $20,000 grant from the Rockford IceHogs through its community fund. Life Decisions chief vision officer, Jake Rogers, states the grant will help local youth attend Life Decisions events, job interviews, doctor appointments and more.
“We’re excited to celebrate a grant we received from the Rockford IceHogs,” Rogers said. “It is to support us with transportation. It’s one of the biggest needs, issues and barriers our youth has is transportation.”
Life Decisions, a nonprofit organization dedicated to investing in the lives of overlooked and undervalued youth ages 15-23. The 815 Fun Fair hopes to help Rockford youth get back on track, stay out of trouble and reach healthy adulthood.
