A widespread power outage took place Friday night, impacting over 10,000 Duke Energy customers in Orange County.
The majority of outages were centered around local substations.
The estimated time for power restoration was between 12:45 a.m. and 1:45 a.m.
“It looks like a safety mechanism activated at one of our substations in the area. I don’t know the calls yet, but it looks like the crew is en route. Should know something soon,” Jeff Brooks, Duke Energy said.
