3.5 months before the opening, the first presentations at the CES 2026 electronics trade fair have already been announced. For the first time since 2023, AMD has been awarded the contract for the first official presentation at CES 2026, known as the Opening Keynote.
However, if you want to watch via livestream from Germany, you will have to stay up late or get up early: The keynote starts at 3:00 a.m. on the night of January 6 (6:30 p.m. local time in Las Vegas). AMD itself usually streams its events via YouTube.

CES is one of the world’s largest technology trade fairs and traditionally provides an outlook for the entire year. However, it is questionable what AMD could show. Really new Ryzen processors with Zen 6 architecture are not expected until later in the second half of the year. At best, there might be a small teaser at the beginning of the year.
According to rumors, AMD is planning a new edition of the existing Ryzen AI 300 mobile processors under the code name Gorgon Point. However, with slightly higher clock frequencies, these are hardly exciting. Desktop offshoots for AM5 mainboards, possibly as the Ryzen 9000G, are still pending.
On the graphics card side, the Radeon RX 9000 is only half a year old. It is questionable whether AMD will give an outlook on a successor after less than a year. The keynote announcement merely places the focus on artificial intelligence (AI).
Lenovo in The Sphere
Meanwhile, the second confirmed CES 2026 keynote will be held by Lenovo. The manufacturer has rented the giant display sphere, The Sphere, for this.
In 2025, Panasonic boss Yuki Kusumi officially held the opening keynote. Unofficially, however, Nvidia boss Jensen Huang went first – his presentation took place half a day earlier.
